A group of investors have presented a project to the city of Barcelona, that entails the construction of a mega hotel off the coast of Barcelona.

At the hands of Architect Erik Morvan the construction will entail a hotel of 300 meters with 2,000 suites and apartments built on an artificial island.

Buyers can apply for membership in the Mobilona Hotel Owners Group to reserve income-producing units at pre-construction prices for purchase or resale.

Suites of the hotel and apartments are estimated to cost between 495,000€ and 2.6 million euros, with penthouses going from 3.9 million euros to 20 million euros.

For the one with ‘deep pockets’ there is the “6-story Mobilona Space Mansion” with a price tag of a whopping €70 million – but apart from its grandeur, the mansion also comes with an optional private heliport and a 200-meter (656 foot) covered yacht dock.

What they say: “Mobilona Space Hotel on Barcelona Island will be the only hotel in all of Europe to be built on a man-made island, connected through a Glideway and Overseas Walkway with the coast of Barcelona. It will provide guests and residents with sea views in all directions with Barcelona’s skyline on one side and the open sea on the other.”

“Mobilona Space Hotel in Barcelona will also be Europe’s largest hotel with over 2,000 suites and residences that will not only fulfill the existing demand for luxury accommodation but its projected 100,000 annual hotel guests will make Barcelona Island a new and independent destination for ‘Space Travelers’ from around the world. The 300-Meter (984 foot) Galaxy Tower will make Mobilona Space Hotel the tallest hotel building in Europe.”
