Google has announced the expansion of its Flight Search engine to the UK, Spain, France, Italy, and the Netherlands.
Up until now the Google Flight Search feature was only available for users in the US.
Based on data from the ITA Software (which Google acquired), Google Flight Search provides the ability for users to find flights, check availability and buy flights.
Apart from seeing flight prices in local currency users in Europe will also be able to use the flight search engine in eight new languages, in addition to English: Spanish, French, Italian, Basque, Catalan, Galician and Dutch.
Google’s Noam Ben Haim clarified that Flight Search is “not able to show results for every single airline,” and pricing information is missing from some European airlines including Lufthansa, Ryanair and Easyjet. Spain’s Vueling, for example however is available.
To use Flight Search in your local country or language, type: google.co.uk/flights/, google.fr/flights/, google.it/flights/, google.es/flights/, or google.nl/flights/.
Bon Voyage, Buon Viaggio, Buen Viaje, Bon Viatge, Boa Viaxe!
